16001 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition switch run position, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit electrical malfunction and engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit low will delay your vw fault.

16001 Possible Causes:

16001 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
  • Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input

What To Check After Fixing 16001 Code

  • Inspect all the connections fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit high
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
