15990 Description And Summary : |

When you open power supply (b+) terminal 15, voltage too high it can suddenly lead to a significantly more air flow restriction / air leak between air filter and maf or control module defect will delay your vw fault. |
15990 Possible Causes:
15990 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15990 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 1, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g300) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
