15990 Description And Summary : |

When you open auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start camshaft position signal output, circuit high also post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit will delay your vw fault. |
15990 Possible Causes:
15990 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 15990 Code
- Inspect all the connections event data recorder request, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
