This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for torque support mount, short to plus It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake angle sensors 1 signal implausible for butterfly valve drive 2 (g297) or change fuel supply heater, control circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
15989 Possible Causes:
15989 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15989 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
