This something to do with the intake camshaft timing reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 1, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor oxygen (lambda) sensor b4 s1, heater return coupling also exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |

15978 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15978 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'd' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
