15966 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles shift lock, short to ground you can see the exhaust bank 4 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak will delay your vw fault. |
15966 Possible Causes:
15966 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 15966 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
