15898 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes before kat exchanges the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck open . On the other hand exhaust gas temperature bank 1, too high is the final reason of the code. |
15898 Possible Causes:
15898 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15898 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, implausible message from level control module (j197)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
