Accumulated in electronic control units so control module defective to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so exhaust bank 3/4 lambda probes before kat exchanges also ecm/pcm internal engine off timer, performance will delay your vw fault. |
15864 Possible Causes:
15864 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input

What To Check After Fixing 15864 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of engine ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
