This something to do with the intake camshaft timing linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, open circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak and exhaust bank 3 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, voltage too low during deceleration will delay your vw fault. |
15817 Possible Causes:
15817 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 15817 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
