This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'e' primary control, short to plus the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles mass-airflow sensor 4 (g457), signal to low also coolant degassing valve, control circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
15817 Possible Causes:
15817 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 15817 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
