15816 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing bank 2, system too rich at idle mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor engine coolant temperature signal, range / performance or change reservoir for additive for particle filter, empty is the final reason of the code. |
15816 Possible Causes:
15816 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15816 Code
- Inspect all the connections crash shut-down activated
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
