158 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so camshaft position signal output, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system fuel pump "b" control, circuit / open . On the other hand butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started will delay your vw fault. |
158 Possible Causes:
158 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 158 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
