Diagnosing engine bar with intake air heater "a", circuit open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start engine- / transmission control modules, versions do not match and relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
15738 Possible Causes:
15738 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15738 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 2, out of range
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
