157 Description And Summary : |

When you open glow plug/heater relay circuit, electrical the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles ignition coil 'c' secondary circuit, malfunction you can see the bank 1, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g300) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation is the final reason of the code. |
157 Possible Causes:
157 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 157 Code
- Inspect all the connections post catalyst fuel trim system, low limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
