Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448) retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold runner control, lower stop not reached or o2 sensor negative current control bank 1 sensor 1, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
15696 Possible Causes:
15696 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 15696 Code
- Inspect all the connections camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), open or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
