15640 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), circuit low input mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor altitude adaptation, signal out of tolerance and wait then injection pump timing offset is the final reason of the code. |
15640 Possible Causes:
15640 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15640 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
