This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'f' primary control, short to plus causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system transmission range display, circuit open and ignition switch accessory position, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |

15542 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 15542 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
