The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault catalyst system exhaust bank 3, effectiveness too low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit and fuel injection valve 4 (n369), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
15517 Possible Causes:
15517 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 15517 Code
- Inspect all the connections control circuit for controller for turbocharger 2 (j725): electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
