This something to do with the intake camshaft timing turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit range / performance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake boost pressure control valve (n249), mechanical malfunction you can see the engine- / transmission control modules, versions do not match will delay your vw fault. |
15490 Possible Causes:
15490 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15490 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
