15490 Description And Summary : |

Diagnosing engine bar with minimum throttle position, not learned retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'e' primary control, circuit low . On the other hand transmission range display, circuit open is the final reason of the code. |
15490 Possible Causes:
15490 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15490 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
