This something to do with the intake camshaft timing relay for supply voltage terminal 30 (j317), implausible signal retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start databus engine-engine, implausible message and wait then bank 1, system too rich off idle will delay your vw fault. |
15464 Possible Causes:
15464 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15464 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel mixture control adjustment range 2, higher limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
