15406 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start charging system, voltage low or change valve for torque support mount, open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
15406 Possible Causes:
15406 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 15406 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
