The problem is about evaporative emission system vent (n115), valve stuck open It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake data bus powertrain, no message from transmission controller (tcu) and wait then mil control circuit, open / short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
15398 Possible Causes:
15398 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15398 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
