The problem is about exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit also control module 1 for cooling fan, short circuit is the final reason of the code. |
15242 Possible Causes:
15242 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
