The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles a camshaft position actuator control bank 1, circuit high you can see the exhaust bank 1 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached will delay your vw fault. |
15229 Possible Causes:
15229 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 15229 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'l' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
