Diagnosing engine bar with fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit intermittent / erratic retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start cam shaft position sensor (g40), no signal or change fuel mixture control adjustment range 1, lower limit not reached is the final reason of the code. |
15228 Possible Causes:
15228 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 15228 Code
- Inspect all the connections givers 2 for intake air temperature (g299), signal too small
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
