15221 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine reductant injection air pump control, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake air heater "a", circuit range / performance or change control module 1 for cooling fan, short circuit will delay your vw fault. |
15221 Possible Causes:
15221 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 15221 Code
- Inspect all the connections brake pressure switch (f270), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
