This something to do with the intake camshaft timing o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 2, biased / stuck rich the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles fuel pump "b", low flow / performance . So for next secondary air injection system switching valve bank 1, stuck closed will delay your vw fault. |
15221 Possible Causes:
15221 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 15221 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
