The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high or fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
15198 Possible Causes:
15198 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15198 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
