15188 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing starter interlock, circuit short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor egr system, regulation range not reached or throttle/pedal position sensor 'e', minimum stop performance is the final reason of the code. |
15188 Possible Causes:
15188 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 15188 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
