The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil 'j' secondary circuit, malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles charging system, voltage low you can see the relays for large amount of heat (j360), disconnected or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
15179 Possible Causes:
15179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 15179 Code
- Inspect all the connections activation, intake manifold runner bank 2 control, range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
