This something to do with the intake camshaft timing pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor shift up/down wire, open / short to ground or change supply voltage for fuel injector group a, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
15174 Possible Causes:
15174 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 15174 Code
- Inspect all the connections butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
