This something to do with the intake camshaft timing accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too low to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low and ignition coil 'e' primary control, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
15171 Possible Causes:
15171 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15171 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
