This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle actuator control motor, circuit low the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit or change fuel pump "a", low flow / performance will delay your vw fault. |
15166 Possible Causes:
15166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15166 Code
- Inspect all the connections internal control module, driver error
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
