15166 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so reversing light, circuit open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start 'b' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off and throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit is the final reason of the code. |
15166 Possible Causes:
15166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15166 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, implausible message from control module battery monitoring
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
