The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault evaporative emission system switching valve control, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 1 or drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit open will delay your vw fault. |
15158 Possible Causes:
15158 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15158 Code
- Inspect all the connections sensor 1 for hydraulic pressure in transmission, open or short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
