15157 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles angle sensors 1 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g297), signal too small and wait then exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit is the final reason of the code. |
15157 Possible Causes:
15157 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15157 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel shutoff valve "b" control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
