The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), no signal causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system brake switch circuit, error message from engine contr. or change clutch slip control, signal too high is the final reason of the code. |
15142 Possible Causes:
15142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 15142 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox trap, efficiency below threshold (bank 1)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
