Diagnosing engine bar with oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, pump current, short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor mass-airflow sensor 4 (g457), signal to low or change linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
15042 Possible Causes:
15042 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 15042 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 1 above knock threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
