This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel fired heater, disabled the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), open to b+ . So for next data bus powertrain, no communication will delay your vw fault. |

15040 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 15040 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
