14998 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault hydraulic pressure sensor 1, too high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start pressure control valve 4 (n218), short to plus and charging system, voltage low is the final reason of the code. |
14998 Possible Causes:
14998 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14998 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, implausible message from combi instrument
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
