14996 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit it can suddenly lead to a significantly more relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), open circuit and bank 1 sensor 1, internal resistance too high is the final reason of the code. |
14996 Possible Causes:
14996 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 14996 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel injection valve 3 (n368), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
