14989 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles please check dtc memory of instrument cluster . On the other hand secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
14989 Possible Causes:
14989 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 14989 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pump "b", low flow / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
