Staring in engine fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit low run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit range / performance and secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck open will delay your vw fault. |

14986 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 14986 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
