Accumulated in electronic control units so coolant fan control 1: open or short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck on or change exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
14973 Possible Causes:
14973 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

What To Check After Fixing 14973 Code
- Inspect all the connections a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
