This code were stamped on VW Engine case powertrain data bus, missing message from abs controller causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system load signal from alternator terminal df, open or short to b+ and bank 1 sensor 1, internal resistance too high will delay your vw fault. |
149 Possible Causes:
149 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 149 Code
- Inspect all the connections direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
