Accumulated in electronic control units so intake air heater "a", circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start potentiometer 2 for egr (g466), incorrect basic setting or intake manifold runner bank 1 control, basic setting aborted mechanical limit open is the final reason of the code. |

14885 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 14885 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
