The problem is about evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit high voltage retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start vehicle speed sensor 'b', range / performance and wait then minimum throttle position, not learned is the final reason of the code. |
14871 Possible Causes:
14871 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14871 Code
- Inspect all the connections angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), signal too small
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
