When you open outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), open to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data-bus powertrain missing message from distance control and wait then ignition coil 'c' secondary circuit, malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
14868 Possible Causes:
14868 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 14868 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power input, signal range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
