The problem is about charging system, voltage the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu or transmission control unit relay, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
14844 Possible Causes:
14844 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 14844 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of transmission ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
