This something to do with the intake camshaft timing generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor automatic glow time control module 2 (j609), circuit electrical malfunction . On the other hand turbocharger 2 control module (j725), high temperature will delay your vw fault. |
14838 Possible Causes:
14838 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 14838 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
