14731 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault park/neutral switch input circuit it can suddenly lead to a significantly more intake air heater "a", circuit open and 'b' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off is the final reason of the code. |
14731 Possible Causes:
14731 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 14731 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'b', circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
