This something to do with the intake camshaft timing evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit / open it can suddenly lead to a significantly more 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low you can see the actuator supply voltage "b", circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
14716 Possible Causes:
14716 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 14716 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
