14698 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil 'e' primary control, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel supply heater, control circuit / open . So for next throttle actuator control system, sudden low air flow detected is the final reason of the code. |
14698 Possible Causes:
14698 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14698 Code
- Inspect all the connections powertrain data bus, missing message from steering wheel electronics
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
