Staring in engine oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, pump current, short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, heater return coupling and o2 sensor signals swapped, bank 1 sensor 3 - /bank 2 sensor 3 will delay your vw fault. |

14696 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 14696 Code
- Inspect all the connections accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), signal too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
